Welcome
Welcome to the Horizon Planner blog - from developers, for users.
We are professional software engineers and not writers. Nevertheless, we felt it is important to set up a developer blog for Horizon Planner, so here we are, taking our first steps into blogging. Read on if you would like to find out more.
If you haven’t done so already, have a quick look at our About page for some info on MIL Innovations A/S, our team, and Horizon Planner.
With the introduction out of the way, let’s move on to what you can expect to read about here in the future.
Our main goal with this blog is to publish detailed Horizon Planner release notes. In the past, we have typically sent a very brief release notes document - with occasional customer-specific details - to each of our customers. It was usually shortly followed by a demo of the new features and a discussion about our client’s future needs. Publishing detailed release notes here should allow us to simplify this process while making better use of our meetings with clients. An added benefit will be that onboarding new users should become much easier, as they will have easy access to lots of Horizon Planner related information right here.
Our second goal is to publish guides and usage tips to help new customers and users get started and obtain as much business value as possible from Horizon Planner’s capabilities.
Additionally, we would also like to use this blog as a platform where we can openly discuss design and technical decisions, plans, and priorities. More transparency from developers typically leads to improved client feedback and satisfaction, which results in a better product and a win for everybody.
